Damn right! I hope rambling fishermen like Christopher Columbus and Amerigo Vespucci will take the heed and stop with this nonsense about wanting to reach new lands! Everybody knows there's nothing past the Pillars of Hercules. And even if there was, what's the point in taking a half-starved, disease-ridden crew half way across the world? Given they reach some wild, inhabited land and are not drowned by storms first, they'll have to live in huts or caves and what will they eat? What's the value in all their nonsense? Men sacrificing their lives for a brief moment of glory? Nonsense I say!

I am going to write an essay about this and send it to her majesty. I am going to call it the "De Futilitas ab Humana Exploratio".
